Scott’s 30-year career in student affairs administration, particularly in student unions and student activities, sets him and Spelman Johnson apart. This extensive experience fuels his deep-rooted dedication to service and his keen attentiveness to the unique needs of clients and candidates. He brings a wealth of search expertise in areas such as public safety, residence life/housing, auxiliary services, and student affairs administration. This diverse skill set allows him to provide comprehensive solutions tailored to each client’s specific requirements.

Prior to joining Spelman Johnson, J. Scott served as the executive director of the Popp Martin Student Union and the Cone University Center at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. At Furman University, he made a significant impact during his impressive 15-year tenure as the director of the Trone Student Center. Earlier in his career, he served as the director of student life at the College of Charleston.
